We hope that you and your loved ones are staying healthy and maintaining positivity during this difficult time.
As we’re sure you’re aware, the federal government issued a warning last week to continue physical distancing until April 30th. We continue to follow this advice while actively monitoring individual state responses. Deka Lash is lucky to call 27 different states home, with each state government issuing separate mandates. Our plan, when given permission to do so, is to reopen studios on a case-by-case basis, depending on state laws and the overall health and safety of everyone involved. As always, the health, safety, and wellbeing of our studios’ community remains our top priority.
We are optimistic that these measures will allow us to soon return to the life we love with the lashes we love.
To our members, we cannot express enough how much we appreciate your patience and flexibility during this time. Given the varying studio reopening dates, we are proposing the option to pause your monthly membership for the next billing cycle.
Pausing your membership maintains your existing refill credits until your account reactivates the following month. For members who allow credits to accrue naturally, there is no expiration date for credits, and all credits will continue to rollover. We’re also planning on having credits work towards product purchases, and we look forward to sharing those details as soon as they’re finalized.
To pause your membership, please call your local studio number and our customer service representatives will be happy to assist you. We’ve had to adjust our customer service center operational hours to M-F 10AM EST – 4PM EST. Because we’re experiencing a higher call volume, your patience and understanding is incredibly appreciated.
With spring in full swing, we also want to quickly mention lash care. Lashes, like everything else, have a natural shedding cycle that occurs each spring and again in August. If you currently have extensions on, we strongly recommend letting the extensions fall out naturally. This may happen on their own or with the natural lash as the natural lashes begin shedding. We never recommend tugging or in any way forcing the extensions off your natural lashes.
For many of you, this will be the first time in a while that you’ve sported natural lashes for an extended period of time. This is a great time to nurture and strengthen those natural lashes through mindful lash care. In addition to our online shop recently receiving a glow up, we’re also excited to share that all products are currently 10% off with use of the code “DEKA10”. We recommend trying out the Enhance lash serum to help your natural lashes strengthen and grow.
Lastly, we’re thrilled to reveal some changes you’ll notice when it’s time to book your next appointment. We are currently rolling out our integration of a new booking system called MyTime. While already live in some locations, all studios will be moved to this new platform by the time we reopen. We’d like to thank you for your patience as we integrate MyTime into your client experience. While we’ll release these instructions more formally in the next upcoming weeks, here’s a quick overview: the next time you go to book online, you’ll need to create a new online account with a new user ID and password. Please use the same full name, email address, and card that is currently on file. This will allow the system to recognize you as an existing client and pair you with your account records.
Make sure you’re following along with us on social media and drop us a note to say hi! We miss your bright smiles.
Stay safe, stay healthy, stay positive,
Your Deka Lash team
As experts in the beauty industry, the sanitation of our studios, and the health of our clients and Lash Artists, are our top priority. We at Deka Lash view you as an extension of our own family, which is why I want to personally reach out regarding the concerns surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19). Our goal is to ensure health and safety for all, and I’d like to share with you our sanitation practices and how we’re focused on preventing the spread of germs.
Because hygiene is the core of our lash and brow services, our Lash Artists have always sanitized their lash stations and tools with thoroughness and care. In addition to these normal sanitation procedures, we remain committed to following the guidelines and recommendations from both the Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organization in each of our studios. Per their instruction, we’ve also identified high touch surfaces within the studios that are being cleaned with even more regularity.
During your next visit, you’ll notice a few additions. Along with providing hand sanitizers around the studio, we’ve posted signs with helpful hygiene tips. We also have a team actively monitoring this situation, and regularly communicating best practices with our studios.
We have instructed Lash Artists, as well as the other members within our Deka Family, to stay home if they’re feeling under the weather. And we encourage you to call us if you’re not feeling well, so we can happily reschedule you for a later date.
As we continue to monitor this situation, my ultimate goal remains the same – to provide you with the lashes you love in a safe and relaxing studio environment.
